1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all members of the Victoria Education Alumni Association (VEAA) uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and respect, and to establish a fair process for addressing misconduct, including the dismissal of members when necessary.
2. Standards of Conduct
All members are expected to:

Act with honesty and integrity in all interactions

Respect fellow members, students, partners, and the public

Uphold the reputation and values of Victoria Education

Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
-
Avoid conflicts of interest or misuse of association resources
3. Unethical Behavior (Grounds for Discipline)
A member may be subject to disciplinary action, including dismissal, if they engage in:
3.1 Misrepresentation

Falsifying credentials, experience, or affiliation with VEAA
-
Misusing the Victoria brand for personal gain
3.2 Fraud or Financial Misconduct

Theft, fraud, or misuse of funds
-
Unauthorized commercial activities using VEAA name
3.3 Harassment or Discrimination
-
Verbal, physical, or online harassment
-
Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or background
3.4 Reputational Damage
-
Actions that bring harm to the reputation of Victoria Education or VEAA
-
Public misconduct that reflects negatively on the organization
3.5 Conflict of Interest / Non-Circumvention

Soliciting students, clients, or members for competing services without authorization
-
Undermining partnerships or business relationships of VEAA
3.6 Illegal Activities

Any criminal or unlawful conduct
4. Disciplinary Actions
Depending on severity, VEAA may take one or more of the following actions:

Verbal or written warning
-
Temporary suspension of membership privileges
-
Removal from events, programs, or leadership roles
-
Termination of membership (dismissal)
5. Dismissal of Membership
VEAA reserves the right to dismiss any member if:

The member engages in serious unethical or unlawful behavior
-
The member repeatedly violates the Code of Conduct
-
The member’s actions are deemed harmful to the community or brand
Upon dismissal:

Membership privileges are immediately revoked
-
The individual may no longer represent or claim affiliation with VEAA
-
No refund of membership fees (if applicable)
6. Review Process (Fairness Clause)
To ensure fairness:

Allegations must be reviewed by the Executive Committee
-
The member will be given an opportunity to respond
-
A decision will be made based on available evidence
-
The decision of the Executive Committee is final
7. Immediate Action Clause (Important)
In cases of serious risk (e.g., fraud, harassment, legal issues):
VEAA reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate membership without prior notice to protect the organization and its members.
8. No Liability
VEAA is not responsible for:

Individual actions of members
-
Business dealings between members
-
Any personal or professional disputes
9. Acknowledgment
By joining VEAA, all members agree to:
Abide by this Code of Conduct and accept the authority of VEAA to enforce disciplinary actions, including dismissal where necessary.
10. Non-Solicitation Protection
Members shall not:

Directly or indirectly solicit Victoria students, alumni, or partners
-
Compete using Victoria-developed materials or relationships
Violation may result in immediate dismissal and potential legal action.
